the VESTIGES Project: Works in Progress 1994, New Orleans, LA "Works in Progress" consisted of three events held one evening at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. First was the premier of "A Year in VOTA", a video written and produced by Danella Hero chronicling the Boston/New Orleans collaborative exchange entitled "VESTIGES: Valorization of the Anonymous (VOTA)". Also premiering was "Tatters" a new work by performance artist Charlie Bishop accompanied by a video montage produced by the VESTIGES Project. Finally, there was the announcement of the "Honorary Votante Award" , a presentation by Andrei Codrescu to the winner of a public call for the best visual or literary art piece on Boston/New Orleans. |
